Trust aims & activities
To acquire and maintain a collection of artefacts, photographs, natural history and documents relating to the past and present of the parish of Lavenham, Suffolk, its people, industries, buildings, wildlife and geology and,
1) in agreement with the museum sub-committee of the National Trust Lavenham Guildhall Local Committee, (or any successor to such body), to mount permanent or temporary displays of its collection of artefacts, at Lavenham Guildhall for the benefit of the inhabitants of Lavenham, and of the public generally.
2) to mount permanent or temporary displays of such artefacts elsewhere in Lavenham or outside Lavenham for the benefit of the public generally.
3) to make artefacts available on loan to other suitable organisations and bodies for the benefit of the public generally.
4) to disseminate by printed or recorded or electronic means such information as will further the knowledge of the parish of Lavenham, its past and present for the benefit of the public generally.
